Under the direction of the Airport Security and Operations Center Manager, the Operations Coordinator I provides centralized security and communications oversight for the airport while working in the 24/7/365 Airport Operations Center. The primary duties of this position include monitoring surveillance cameras, access points, alarms, energy management systems, weather-related equipment, phones, and radios. The City of Portland’s Historic Preservation program is a part of the Planning and Urban Development Department, which promotes and plans for the future vitality, livability, and prosperity of one of the most dynamic cities in the northeast. The Department’s work involves overseeing and directing all planning and urban development activities including: comprehensive planning, implementing and amending the City’s zoning and land use policies, site plan, subdivision, and historic preservation ordinances, design review, management of the City’s Public Art program, transportation planning, and other long range planning projects. Program Coordinator - Prevention & Diversion Program, Project
Health and Human Services Department – Shelter Services - Social Services Division
The Social Services Division is seeking candidates for a full time, project position. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with flexibility to work other hours as needed including rotating on call responsibilities. This is an administrative/management position responsible for triaging needs of those seeking emergency shelter services and coordinating appropriate community and housing resources. This position will also be responsible for rigorous data entry and documentation requirements as required by HUD. Additional duties include location of and placement in permanent housing, client outreach and relationship building, development of housing resources, and follow up to ensure increased community supports and long-term housing stability. Business Liaison, Greater Portland Workforce Initiative at United Way of Southern Maine
Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, Greater Portland Workforce Initiative, the Business Liaison supports and advances United Way of Southern Maine’s (UWSM’s) mission by identifying, developing, and maintaining high-quality relationships with organizations and individuals. The Business Liaison position is a two-year, grant-funded position that will lead a pilot project supporting efforts in Southern Maine to improve employment outcomes for recent immigrants and foreign-trained professionals. The project will develop a system for employers to become better equipped and more confident in hiring, promoting, and retaining more immigrants and refugees, including appropriate placement or pathways for foreign-trained individuals to mitigate “brain waste,” i.e., employment that disregards their previous training and expertise. The Advocacy Outreach Team Leader supports Preble Street efforts to end hunger and homelessness in Maine by ensuring the provision of high-quality services in alignment with the agency mission through providing direction to Homeless Voices for Justice (HVJ) and Maine Hunger Initiative (MHI).
